Is Forge military training?

No. Forge draws on principles of discipline and shared challenge, but it is not military training, not boot camp, and not designed to break people down.

What fitness level is required?

A baseline of general fitness: comfortable walking on uneven terrain for several hours, carrying a daypack. Activities are scalable, but Forge is physical. If you have any concerns, speak to your GP first.

What should I bring?

A detailed kit list is sent on confirmation. Expect outdoor clothing layered for cold and wet, sturdy footwear, sleeping gear, a notebook, and a torch. Phones are minimised.

What happens if I need to withdraw?

Accommodation during the program is included and is field-based — expect swags, tents, or simple shared shelter depending on the intake. Travel to and from the meeting point is your responsibility.

Every applicant completes a written application and screening conversation. We assess fit, readiness, and safety. Forge reserves the right to decline any application.

You must disclose all relevant medical, psychological, and physical conditions during application. Many conditions are compatible with participation; some are not. Our team will work through it with you confidentially.
